FJ The EGA has 64 different color values for
you to choose from, and it can display up to
16 colors on the screen at one time. Each
one of the standard displayable colors can
be changed to one of the available 64 color
values.
You can change the values of the displayable
colors with Palette Pops. JColors are
modified Jby pointing to the the color you
want to change and scrolling through the
full range of 64 different EGA color values.
Once you have modified Jyour colors, Palette
Pops Jlets you store them to a file for
future use.

Palette Pops displays the values of the 16
colors you Modify, along with the Standard
EGA default colors and a palette of 16
colors values you can load from a File of
modified colors you previously saved.

F JWhen modifying your color palette you may
wish to refer to the Standard JEGA colors,
or perhaps colors from a previously saved
color palette.
Even though the values of these palettes
are always displayed when you move the
palette pointer from left to right, it is
generally better to see the actual color
these values represent.
Palette Pops Jprovides an easy way for you
to look at an entire palette of colors or
even an individual color. Function keys
F3J through F8J are used by Palette Pops
Jto allow you to switch back and forth
between the ModifyJ, Standard Jand File
Jpalette's colors.

F JThe colors you Modify Jcan be easily stored
to disk by pressing the F9 Jkey. After
doing so, you will be asked to input a
file name for your palette file. Use any
legal DOS Jfilename (you may want to consult
your DOS manual for further information on
DOS filenames).
JThe F10 Jkey is used to Load Ja palette file
from disk. After pressing the F10 Jkey you
will be prompted for the filename of the
palette you wish to load. Again, you must
use a legal DOS filename.
If you do not add a DOS file extension Jto
the filename, Palet Pops Jwill automatically
add ".ClrJ" for you.
